Let me explain that one: One of our members, Veli Laine, took us to a beach spot and restaurant! Remember last week, when I sent pictures of some cool ships? Yeah, there's a restaurant on one of those. Our friend owns it, our other friend is the head chef, and they serve some awesome American-style burgers.

It's called the Captain Jack and it's awesome. The owner knows a *little* bit of English. Just enough that he can say "Don't worry be happy everything's gonna be alright okay? okay!" And he said that about fifty times, but don't worry, it was funny every time.

In the midst of the week, we had a ton of work done, but we also had some funny things happen! For example, two of our members, also Laines, work at this cafe right next to our house called Cafe Passion. Roosa was closing on Saturday, and the cafe had made a ridiculous amount of food that they didn't sell, so she gave it all to us. Thus:

Photogenic, I am.

With all that surplus food(seeing as half of it was pastries and I'm trying to eat healthy), we used that same evening to deliver a bunch of surprise, fresh pastries to some of our members who needed some cheering up! We're so thoughtful!

This week is called, in Finnish, "Helleviikko." I'm not sure why, but I have a snipping suspicion that it could be because it's the hottest week of the year(A balmy 30 degrees[celsius]). Love it.

On Sunday, we got to head over to the Laine's (same family) for dinner! What an awesome family. A bunch of return missionaries, and we love 'em all. Elder Ames had the wonderful idea to draw the Plan of Salvation in their driveway(and we just conveniently had some chalk in the car), so we did! Result? See for yourself:

The Laines are awesome!

Those were our big events this week! Stay tuned for next week, when you'll get to see:

-SPLITS, with the Turku Elders!

-The... MERIMUSEO!!! (seriously, how many museums are in this city? This will be the fourth!)

-Aaand, MUCH MUCH MORE! (in all reality though, we have so many weird adventures out here)

Alrighty! Love you all, stay warm, and remember that Jesus loves you!

Love,

Vanhin Bolingbroke

P.S. - As some of you may know, Preach My Gospel has been updated so that we no longer use the terminology 'investigator.' We now just call them 'people.' So, I updated my PMG manual:

P.P.S. - This is my workspace. Kinda messy, but fun!
